Hours and Admission
Open and free to the public daily from dawn to dusk (including weekends and holidays). No tickets required, open the gate and walk-in at your leisure. The gate being closed does not mean the garden is closed. Please re-latch the gate behind you.

The garden is located on UC Davis west campus adjacent to the Harry H. Laidlaw Jr. Honey Bee Research Facility at

- Ways to Reach the Garden
Car: Parking is available adjacent to the garden. Parking fees are collected through the ParkMobile mobile app. First hour is free, each additional hour is $1.25 up to the daily max of $8.50. No fees on weekends. Learn more about AggiePark.
Bike: A bike rack is available.
Public Transit: The Haven is located approximately 0.5 mile from the nearest Unitrans stop.
Visitor Guidelines
By respecting these guidelines, you help us maintain a thriving habitat for bees and other beneficial insects while creating a welcoming space for everyone to learn and explore.
- There is no medical treatment at the garden. If you are allergic to bee stings, please bring appropriate equipment and medication such as an epinephrine auto-injector (eg EpiPen) and antihistamines. Click here for information about preventing and treating bee stings.
- Smoking is strictly prohibited.
- Please do not climb any structures or art installations.
- Please remain on the paths and maintain walking speed.
- Shirts and shoes are required. Visitors should wear closed-toed, closed-heel shoes and avoid scented personal care products.
- Radio or music playing is not permitted. Please keep voices low to respect wildlife and other visitors.
- Children under 10 must remain within view of an adult supervisor.
- Bicycles, roller blades, and skateboards are not permitted in the garden.
- All dogs must be on leash in the garden and owners must pick up after their dogs.
- Please do not remove anything from the garden. Insect collecting and plant cutting is not permitted.
- Commercial activities require prior approval. Please contact us.
- Campus lost and found is handled by the UC Davis Police Department. Report a lost item here.

- Restrooms: There is no restroom available on site.
- Seating: A picnic table is available.
- ADA Accessibility: The garden is wheelchair accessible and ADA parking is available.
Tours and Educational Outreach
Guided tours of the garden are available upon request; please click here for more details. Tours last 30 to 60 minutes, depending on the size of the group and tour type. Tours led by docents not affiliated with the Haven are not permitted.
