Garden and Education Coordinator
- UC Davis Bee Haven
Samantha Murray is a dedicated advocate for pollinator conservation and serves as the UC Davis Bee Haven Garden Coordinator. With a deep love for bees and pollinator-friendly gardening, she works to create and maintain thriving habitats that support bees and other essential pollinators.
In her role, Samantha manages all aspects of garden care, including plant removal, pruning, cleaning, cataloging plant species, and identifying areas for improvement. She also plays a key role in educational outreach, helping to engage children in pollinator conservation. Previously, she interned at Conservation Works, where she assisted in planting pollinator gardens throughout Sonoma County. Her experience in garden management, environmental education, and community engagement ensures that the bee garden remains a vibrant space for both pollinators and people. Samantha’s mission is to inspire others to appreciate and protect these vital creatures through hands-on learning and sustainable gardening practices.
When she’s not tending to the bee garden, Samantha enjoys hiking, beekeeping, and playing the harp!
